Human Resourse Director

covering all major metropolitan areas. Their passion for customer service, hard

Description
Whilst reporting directly into the CEO, with a seat on the company’s board, the
main duties and responsibilities related to this position will be as follows:
Formulating group, corporate or subsidiary level human resource strategy, policy
and practice covering;
o Recruitment and selection in line with required skills mix
o Remuneration and benefits (reward strategy) and conditions of employment
o Employment and labour relations
o Induction, training and development, promotions, transfers and career pathing
o Performance measure to evaluate people effectiveness
o Safety and health
o Performance Appraisals
Compliance with relevant labour legislation including special initiatives such
as employment equity, empowerment and equal opportunity
Formulation and introducing job relevant policies and programmes for staff
training, development and career advancement with the objective of making the
most effective use of the organization’s human resources pool
Monitoring organizational climate, staff attitudes and morale and informing and
advising line management in this regard
Management, guidance and direction of specialist human resource professionals
within the organization
Candidate Requirements
Senior management experience Minimum 12 years, locally and/or abroad. Strong
retail exposure.
An appropriate tertiary qualification
An excellent conceptual approach and the ability to translate visions into
practical business solutions
Change management ability
High level of integrity and credibility
