Commercial Director- Logistics
Required for a globally renowned organization. The incumbent would be required to head the Logistics for MENA and to take the lead in downstream logistics strategy creation and implementation. This is a key senior leadership role working together with respective MENA Functions and Country heads as well as their teams focusing in the areas of Operator Group Logistics, Open Distribution and Retail Logistics, Channel Logistics Development as well as Outbound / downstream network for the Sales Area. Other activities in scope are outbound transportation, Sales Cluster & Units’ logistics competence and performance management, Short-Term Supply Management, and Product Management activities in selected areas. Leaders in this role will be responsible for the strategic direction, visioning and building business processes and people process. In addition this role is responsible for developing and implementing strategy for his/her responsible area. Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance. Translates strategy into actionable programs, operations or activities. Clear strategic elements. Authorized to take decisions within responsibility area. Involved with and responsible for integrating or coordination with other businesses or functions. May include geographic coordination of functions or global functional/unit. Ongoing activities include providing technical and business leadership for staff and work teams or task forces in broad functional process areas to solve complex and diverse issues. Integrates the delivery of clients services, supplier and partner co-operation by ensuring that business targets are met. Applies broad and in depth business management knowledge to resolve multi discipline or multi functional/process problems. Resolves conflicts between work teams over resource allocation and other critical issues.
