Head - F & B

1. Principal Accountabilities: • Develop and implement strategic business objectives to fillip growth and regional expansion of the F&B division. Set annual business plan and associated budgets for all F&B brands/ stores and oversee the performance against the budgets and approved plans. • Lead & direct the division in implementing and achieving business plans and objectives ensuring all tactical plans and operational marketing activities are in consonance with communicated business directives and Group’s & brands’ image. • Develop and put in place appropriate policies and procedures to cover key areas of F&B activity and ensure effective systems are in place for monitoring compliance of established operating and service standards of all outlets & restaurants. • Review/ establish/ staff F&B structure along with work flows and job responsibilities in the back-of-office & front-of-house (Purchasing, Inventory, Kitchen, Sales & Operations) to meet process & cost efficiencies, consistent quality and superior customer service. • Review appropriate outlet space for the establishment of new outlets with the Leasing Manager and contribute in preparing proposals and closing deals in order to set up and open outlets as per plan. Oversee new outlet projects from design to execution. • Oversee compliance of local laws relating to hospitality/ food industry ensures all outlets adhere & operate to the strict statutory requirement and established health, hygiene & safety policies and standards. • Institute regular reporting mechanism on business performance by brand, location & region. Review purchase, stock and sales reports. Analyse the market and the local consumer tastes and preferences and customize the offered eateries to suit local requirements (while staying within international standards). • Guide, direct, appraise, develop, support and motivate line managers to display high levels of individual & their teams’ performance to achieve objectives of the Division. 2. Key Performance Indicators: - Achievement of financial budgets/ targets/ plans (store turnover, business growth, revenue and costs within budget) - Opening of outlets as per plan - Positioning for USP - Break-even of outlets as per time-line - Competent & motivated staff 3. Knowledge Skills and Experience: The job holder will be preferably a graduate in any discipline with specialized experience in Food & Beverage with retail management expertise in food/ confectionary gained over ~ 10 years. Overall about 15+ years experience with at least 5 years in managerial capacity managing a chain of stores/ eateries/ restaurants. The job holder will preferably be from the middle east region, bi-lingual with exposure and understanding of regional tastes and preferences. General management experience with ability to effectively coordinate across major specialist functions like Projects, Finance, HR and Marketing. Excellent people management and communication skills, keen to travel and develop networks in regional markets.
