VP - Investments (Arab National)

The Investment Specialist is a member of a team of investment professionals dedicated to the advocacy and positioning of one of AllianceBernstein’s 5 core asset classes – Growth, Value, Fixed Income, US Blend Strategies and Global Blend Strategies. The Investment Specialist’s primary responsibility is to develop and enhance the positioning of our investment services and to disseminate that message primarily internally. RESPONSIBILITIES: Development of Investment Message •Develop product analytics and message for new and existing investments -Support performance positioning through competitive analysis of portfolios vs market benchmarks, peer universes and key competitors. -Turn results of analysis into sales ideas and new arguments for presentations for both existing focus portfolios and new launches. •Work with Marketing to develop new marketing collateral and evaluate effectiveness of currently available materials •Work with other members of Retail Investment Group, Portfolio Management, Sales, Marketing, and RFP to ensure consistency of product message throughout all corporate communications •Ensure timely and complete positioning of investment services through: Training oThe Investment Specialist has primary responsibility for developing and delivering training for all new and incumbent sales and relationship management employees oTraining responsibilities include working with Professional Development and the Investment Director to develop an appropriate course curriculum and supplementary educational/training materials oTrain sales personnel on marketing materials Investment Messaging oPositioning in Quarterly “Attribution and Positioning Facts” oCommentaries/Monitors oMessaging in Competitor Guides across vehicles, Analysts to update quarterly oWorking with Communications Specialist to ensure accurate positioning of investment message through RFPs oOverseeing responses to sales queries oOverseeing maintenance and updating of existing sales literature Prepare analysis and specific recommendations, ( i.e. holes in product line up, focus opportunities and funds at risk for significant redemptions due to performance and/or market conditions), to Investment Director, Senior Management and Product Development Sales Engagement •Opportunistically travel with Regional Managers and Relationship Managers to generate investments or better understand advisor needs •Primary spokesperson on calls with financial advisors •Collaborate with Investment Director to develop special communications for finals meetings Product Updates and Alerts •Work with Communications Specialist to develop message of appropriate and timely, internal and external, communications on product updates, manager changes, benchmark changes, etc. REQUIREMENTS: Education: -BS/BA – concentration in Marketing/Finance preferred Required experience: -8-10 yrs eperience with investments, either in sales, marketing or product management – and/or – -3 to 4 years experience in research or quantitative Required skills: -Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint -Extensive knowledge of Bloomberg, Lipper LANA, Zephyr Style Advisor, FactSet, Morningstar Applications -Fundamental knowledge of the global capital markets -Strong quantitative analytical and writing abilities -Strong project management skills -Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the firm and externally
